** Megan's Law Alert**
As some of you are already aware, a convicted sex offender has recently been released from jail and is now living in our community. Per Megan’s Law notification policies, Aspinwall Police recently notified certain Aspinwall residents that a “Sexually Violent Predator” has moved into our neighborhood. You can visit http://www.pameganslaw.state.pa.us/ and do a zip code search (15215) on the left side navigation, to read more about this predator. The PA State Police Megan’s Law website also includes address info, physical description, vehicle info, arrest info and more. This notice is intended for community safety purposes only and should not be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass.Aspinwall Neighborhood Watch Click here for some additional information regarding laws about convicted sex offenders in the news. Aspinwall Riverfront ParkAspinwall Neighborhood Watch supports the efforts of the Aspinwall Riverfront Park Project. Their goal is to raise $2.3 million by September 1, 2011 to purchase the land near the current marina to create a public park.
